ABOUT US
Our Core Beliefs and Story
Started in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Care Cadet was founded by students at Rochester Adams High School to raise money for those in need around our community. We recognized the socioeconomic imbalance in our surroundings in the peak of the pandemic and saw the possibility to create positive change.
Fundraising for local food pantries in Rochester Hills, we were able to provide needed aid that became scarce during COVID, serving as a beacon of hope. With businesses struggling and employees being laid off, our donations were used to feed families, provide needed first-aid supplies, and supply clothing to those in need.
Seeing the change we were able to create in just the local community, we were motivated to strive for more and branch out even further. We began expanding our efforts to the Metro Detroit area and began contributing toward other disparities.
Since then, we have continuously searched for avenues of possibility, seeing every issue as an opportunity for growth. With projects ranging from local trail clean-ups to fundraising towards school supplies for students in Pontiac, we see the chance for more – all around us.
We truly believe in the potential that lies in every individual and every community. Care Cadet is not just fundraising or charity; it embodies the idea of empowerment. Though every individual has the intrinsic capacity for success, not everyone has the resources needed for it, which sets us apart. Care Cadet serves a simple goal: to provide opportunity to those without it and capitalize on the potential that lies in every person. We strive to be the helping hand that pulls individuals towards a brighter future.
Who We Are...
Care Cadet is a nonprofit organization run by high school students at Rochester Adams High School in Rochester Hills, MI, in hopes to make a positive impact on our community by aiding the less fortunate through fundraising for charitable institutions. Our management and team are made solely of volunteers looking to help others and benefit the community as a whole by acting for the greater good.
What We Do...
By collaborating with our deeply connected community and fundraising goods companies, we strive to fundraise through item drives and other events to help local establishments like foster homes, students in need, and food pantries. We also open up the opportunity for our community to provide direct donations that will be used in full to help suffering individuals in our society.
Our Idea...
We believe that we have an obligation as members of the community to help those struggling for the greater good. In helping others, we can not only better the condition and values of this community, but also become more connected with it.
